Announcing the 3C Summer School in Computational Chemistry
We are excited to announce the launch of the 3C Summer School — a week-long educational event dedicated to Cutting-edge topics in Computational Chemistry!
Organized by the Materials Modelling and Design Group at the University of Crete, the 3C Summer School is designed for undergraduate and early Master’s students who are eager to explore the frontiers of computational chemistry, materials science, and artificial intelligence.
Over five immersive days in Heraklion, Crete, participants will dive deep into the computational study of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) — a class of materials with transformative potential in gas storage, catalysis, and separation technologies.
What to Expect:
-
A multidisciplinary curriculum covering:
-
Ab initio (first-principles) simulations
-
Classical mechanics approaches
-
AI-driven methods for materials design
-
-
In-depth sessions on the structure, dynamics, and adsorption behavior of MOFs
-
Hands-on workshops in machine learning and data-driven research techniques
-
Discussions on how computational chemistry accelerates scientific discovery
Who Should Attend
Whether you’re just starting out in the field or looking to expand your skills, the 3C Summer School will offer both theoretical foundations and practical experience, helping you take the next step in your academic or research journey.
